Swiss-born fashion designer Lela Scherrer founded her studio for fashion and concept design in Antwerp / Basel in 2002. Working across fashion, textiles, and innovation-driven design, she has collaborated with houses such as Balenciaga, Jakob Schlaepfer, and members of the Antwerp Six, including Walter Van Beirendonck and Dries Van Noten, as well as commercial brands, companies like ELLE, interior design collections, and theater productions. Beyond her studio practice, Lela has as an innovation research consultant and brand and design advisor within the retail field. She teaches as a guest lecturer at multiple universities of art and design, where she contributes to both creative education and design research. She also serves as a jury member on several design commissions and competitions. Her seasonless, made-to-measure collection offers garments without expiry date — one-of-a-kind pieces and small series with a tailored, highly considered approach. The pieces are handmade in Switzerland, reflecting a commitment to quality, longevity, and refined contemporary craftsmanship.
